Megan Foltz has been superb!! She has been there for us through every step of the planning. She has gone above and beyond to ensure our reception was perfect. She even suggested vendors for cake and lighting and she was there to answer all of our questions, day or night! Everything was perfect! Millie was the banquet manager on duty and she was just wonderful! She greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and got the bridal party drinks and just took care of us the minute we walked in the door. Her and her staff were wonderful to all our guests. I couldn’t believe that a staff member actually fixed me my plate for dinner through our buffet line, I was speechless! I’ve never been treated so great in my life. Your team was truly fabulous!

This was one of the easiest events I ever planned and McHale’s made it so much easier. It was all done in like two weeks; and came out exactly as we planned. Kaitlyn was more than patient and helpful with us. We could never have done this on our own. Your staff was awesome and very friendly. Overall we loved the service. Dear Chuck and staff, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your generous support of the 24th Annual Christmas Day Dinner. This year’s event was a great success! We had nearly two thousand guests and volunteers in attendance who got to enjoy excellent food, balloon animals, face painting, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, gifts and live music. This celebration makes a nicer, happier Christmas for the lonely, needy and less fortunate of our community. Dear Chuck, Megan and Catering Staff, Thanks so much for the S.T.A.R.S. grief counseling program dinner. Everyone appreciates a good meal and a chance to relax after a long day. The meal was a big hit with young and old alike and you all provided plenty. The mac and cheese is such a comfort food on a cold rainy day and the fresh fruit salad was a hit. We served over 70 people that night who welcomed your wonderful meal. The extra food (because you always provide plenty) was sent as care packages with some of the families. As always, it was perfect. I really like The Gardens – it is so elegant. The food was great and we had plenty to spare. I was really thrilled to see Chuck pop in. We were told that he was very busy with an event at Children’s and would not be able to attend. It was so nice of him to take the additional time to say hello to Shawn. The entire staff of New Perceptions is so grateful to the McHale’s staff because of their dedication in making every event we host – and every event I have ever attended – one to remember forever. From the initial call to potentially book, all the way through walking out the door with an extra Diet Mt. Dew in my hand! I was sooo very pleased! I was so very pleased with Megan; she was very professional, she responded quickly to emails and phone calls, and was very helpful in the planning process. I can’t tell you how pleased I was with the banquet manager; she was so friendly, always checking on us, making sure things were overly satisfactory, and was always a step ahead of everything. She helped carry things to the car, box up things, etc. I was SOOOO pleased with her! Everything was perfect, perfect, perfect! Staff was there at every whim and thinking of things we would have never thought of. Everyone was so kind, accommodating and just amazing. We received multiple compliments on the dinner. Everyone was very happy with the food including a family member who is an extreme food critic and raved about the pork. It was all delicious! Everything went off without a hitch and we will be recommending McHale’s whenever possible!

Cassie made the planning process so easy! She was great to work with and was able to take away any worries we had. The tasting was very helpful because it is hard to choose food when you do not know what it will taste like. Cassie was very prompt to respond to any email/phone call we left for her. Please know and understand we could not have asked for a more amazing night or event to celebrate our marriage. It was above and beyond perfect and what we asked for. Thank you so much for your hard work, as well as everyone else who may have been behind the scenes to make our evening spectacular! The set up of our beer koozies were amazing. It was above our expectations in more ways than can be described. I was thoroughly impressed with the overall appearance of our reception for the evening. Everything was placed perfectly!! Our wedding reception was by far the best experience of the day in terms of entertainment and being in a fun relaxing environment. Many of our guests, as well as us, were extremely impressed with the facility and professionalism throughout the evening. The set up of the centerpieces and other items we brought to the facility were arranged above and beyond our expectations, it was beyond perfect. The professionalism of the staff throughout this entire experience was phenomenal. This hall and its counterparts will be recommended to anyone that would be able to use the facility for an event of any sort. Thank you for your care and consideration throughout this process. It was as though everyone was helping us achieve what we wanted in the evening and we ended up with exactly what we asked for!

Kaitlyn was very prompt returning all phone calls and emails. She ensured that every detail we asked for was done and done well. She was also very open to changes and additional ideas/requests we came up with along the way. I never felt that my requests or questions were a bother or annoyance to her, despite how many we had. She did great. The staff ensured that our every need was met the evening of the event. Furthermore, one of the staff offered to return our cake pieces to our baker who lived near her. This was very helpful and relieved a duty from my mom. Additionally, during our final details we asked that the staff box up a few to go boxes for my husband and I separately from my parents as we would be in town for another day in our own home. Not only did the staff ensure that this was done, but they also included bottled waters, silverware, and napkins to ensure our every need was met. They were also so helpful packing up. They packed up our stuff carefully and in an organized fashion so that we knew where/what everything was we were taking home. Lastly, they were very relaxed and did not rush us as we packed our cars even though our reception was over. We really appreciate all of the staff at McHale’s that worked so hard to make our day run smoothly. Because of them, we were able to concentrate on our event instead of worry about the details.

Everything went so well from the start of planning to the end of the night. I appreciated the patience with all the questions and concerns we had, and the willingness to work with us to give us what we wanted. I want to commend Cassie on being receptive to making my wedding party that was diabetic well taken care of. I was delighted with how attentive and friendly the staff was from the beginning to the end of the event. I loved having the choices of vases available to use that was included. The manager helped the mothers of the bride and groom with their plates, which was an extra nice touch. We were kept on a timely manner without being rushed and everything went smoothly. I also appreciated the take home meals with cake and bottles of water.

Everything was very well explained and we were well informed along the way. If I didn’t understand something Megan was quick to get us answers. Megan and her team made sure we didn’t forget a thing and were very helpful when we came the day before to set up. We certainly got our money’s worth and then some! We couldn’t have asked for thing to turn out any better than they did. Everyone told us numerous times what a great party it was and commented on how nice everything looked. The entire staff made us all feel very special that night, not just the bride and groom but us parents as well. It was great to be treated with such respect and class. I really could just go on and on; I am ready to be a poster child for (McHale’s) … Haven’t been this satisfied since I had my eyes fixed with Lasik correction. Kaitlyn was extremely helpful during the planning process. She made me feel very comfortable with everything and was able to answer all of my questions. She was very friendly and great to work with! Phyllis was wonderful the entire night. I never had to ask for anything, and felt very comfortable throughout the night. Greg and I felt like royalty! The reception went even smoother than hoped. We had several compliments on our venue from our guests. Everyone had a great time, as did Greg and I! I will absolutely recommend McHale’s for future events.

Everything, from the initial contact through the finalization of the contract, was handled very professionally and instilled a confidence that we were choosing a reputable organization to host our reception. We were very impressed with the planning process, especially because we were trying to plan a Cincinnati wedding from Lexington. Melinda was fantastic from beginning to end! The banquet manager as well as the rest of the staff were very much on the ball throughout the evening and worked hard to make sure that everything went smoothly. The coordination between the other vendors (DJ, cake, photographer) and McHale’s was handled very well.

There was a minor issue with a guest being rude and they went above and beyond to help accommodate him and very helpful to my parents to help to resolve the issue. Megan and McHale’s Staff: Thank you so much for making the Green-Smith wedding reception a night to rave about and remember forever! We truly appreciate the attentiveness to details that really made our night special. The guests came up to me throughout the night to comment on the amazing food and staff. More than one person noticed how the staff held doors open for the elderly and even brought their food to them so they wouldn’t have to go through the buffet with their walker or cane. Its small things like this that can make a huge difference in a guest’s experience. A big thank you to Megan as well! She worked with me tirelessly and waded through my countless emails, sending prompt, detailed replies. I could always rely on Megan to be thorough and get the stuff done she said she would. She worked around my tricky school and work schedule and met with my mom and sister when I couldn’t be there. Our wedding planning was a breeze. We met with Mel a couple of times and she seemed to know exactly what we wanted. We had fun and there were no problems at all. The wedding turned out beautiful, thanks in large part to the wonderful staff at McHale’s!! Our wedding was absolutely perfect! The food was amazing-many of our guests commented on how wonderful it was. The room and décor were beautiful. More importantly, the staff was incredible! Everything was fabulous!! We had a perfect day and The Grand staff was amazing! Melinda is AWESOME! She was always VERY timely, helpful and calming. We never felt stressed when dealing with Melinda! I initially worked with Cassie in booking and planning my event and she did a great job. Even the smallest detail she knew the answer to. The end planning was with Jenny and she did a great job as well! There were detailed questions that I never even thought of that she asked to make sure the ceremony and everything went smoothly. The service was outstanding! When I went to get my food I was pleasantly surprised when a server got my food for me and took it back to the table. I never expected that but thought it was wonderful! Rob particularly enjoyed the tasting. Overall, the wedding planning process was a breeze, thanks to the help of Cassie and Melinda. They made sure that everything was exactly how we wanted it. And even after we had the room laid out, I wanted to make one last change, and Melinda was very accommodating. I also had the opportunity to see the room as it was getting set up. John and his crew were wonderful about getting the table decorations and our party favors arranged as I wanted them. It was definitely less stressful thanks to everyone at McHale’s. Everything was perfect!! The room was gorgeous, and the food was excellent. Quite a few of our guests commented on what a nice facility The Gardens was, how good the food tasted, and how wonderful the staff was. It’s unbelievable what you get for the cost. It was much less expensive than most of the other venues I looked at, which enabled us to allocate more money towards decor. Just to give you an idea of how great the price was a full open bar was only $5.50 per person. Cassie Dean was my event manager, and she was wonderful! She accommodated all of our requests and executed every single detail exactly how it was given. She kept in touch with me constantly throughout the planning process and regularly contacted me with creative ideas that she thought would fit my vision. I cannot say enough great things about her and the McHale’s company in general. The food was amazing. We served our meal family style and everyone raved about how great the food was. The staff was so helpful and attentive throughout the entire night. Every time I turned around, someone was at my side asking me if I needed anything. McHale’s is definitely worth looking into when looking for venues.

It was nice to have all the extras that McHale’s provided such as the cake knife, champagne glasses, gift table, card box, vases and someone to set up the centerpieces for the tables. (They even set up a TV for the UK final four game!) It was also nice to have a package that included bartenders, cake servers, and someone to help you plan the whole event. It made everything so much easier. Megan was always very calm and had everything under control which made everything so much easier and was much appreciated by a nervous mother-of-the-bride. Everything was more beautiful than I expected. I loved the white lights under the bridal table and cake table. Everyone was wonderful. Melinda Mathis was very professional and easy to get hold of. She did a good job of working around my wants and needs for our wedding. I would definitely recommend her to others. Hello Cassie! Thank you for all of your efforts to help us organize this event. The evening was so much fun! Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves, and our hope is that they will tell everyone else what a fun event it was so that it can be an even bigger success next year. Nancy took great car of us; she was so sweet and made sure that everything was perfect. All of the staff working were great … they were all so friendly and helpful. We were very spoiled by the staff. And the food was delicious and so beautifully presented! My planner was Cassie and she was amazing! Everyone was amazing! I loved our bartender (Phil), he was SO sweet! Cassie was great with times getting together and answering emails/phone calls. Once again McHale’s blew us away with everything. The staff were awesome, the food was great and everything about working with McHale’s was easy. Every step was managed very well and we have received nothing but compliments on the event. Phyllis had everything packed in our cars before we left so we did not even need to carry things out. Sarah was very easy to work with and helped us think of things we had not thought about. Generally before we could ask about something, the staff at McHale’s already had it taken care of. We were thrilled with our event with McHale’s and its wonderful team!

I cannot say enough about the level of service we received at the party and the appearance of the facility. You and your staff were simply outstanding!!! Everyone was on top of everything and well ahead of the curve on every detail. Lynn was doing and recommending things I didn’t even think about. The way she displayed the cakes on the table, the bird-cage box for gift envelopes and these types of things that never crossed my mind. All the food was great and everyone commented on how good it was. I kind of over shot my attendance and there was plenty of food leftover. I never expected it to be packed up for me to take home but my freezer is plenty full. Looks like I have some weenies, wings, and meatball meals ahead. Without a doubt I would give you, your staff, and the Marquise (and any other McHale facility) the highest recommendation for anyone looking for an event facility. The booking process was great, Megan was a huge help in answering all my questions and helping me to visualize what my event would look like in that space. Megan was great during the stressful time of planning the wedding, she really made me feel like I could relax and let McHale’s take care of the details; it was a very great experience. She was flexible with our meeting times and able to really ease my mind through the planning process. My reception turned out better than I imagined it would be, the facility was beautiful, the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I had two guests that were in a wheelchair and needed extra assistance that evening. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was for my friends and family to know that those two people were very well taken care of and able to enjoy the night! It was above and beyond my expectations and was a very appreciated touch. I was very pleased and I had several friends and family compliment the staff and the location. Thanks for making our big day so wonderful!

Megan was great to work with throughout this whole process. She responded to all of our questions either through email or phone calls in a timely manner. She thought of many things, including the finer details for that day, that we had not considered in order to make it all perfect. Good initial experience, things went smoothly. Sarah was wonderful to work with! She thought of everything, was very efficient and everything we requested for set-up was done perfectly. Bravo! The staff treated us like royalty. Their availability was excellent; they were friendly, courteous and very helpful. Anytime I requested help, and there was at least three times, I easily found someone and they were quick and happy to help me. The servers that cleaned up did an excellent job and again, they were friendly and happy to help even at 1:00 a.m.! Cassie, Everyone, including the guest of honor, was so impressed with the event. The great thing is, I received all of the credit and I did not do anything. What a surprise! The food made for me was wonderful and everyone there raved about their food as well.

I've worked for McGraw-Hill Corporation for the last 30 years and we have had several banquets and receptions and none of them compare to the job you did. While going through the line with two plates because my mom was in a wheel chair – one staff member came over to help me out. My grandson Jayden (Bride and Groom’s son) can be a handful but your staff helped us keep an eye on him through out the night. I have had several family members and friends who mentioned how friendly, helpful and delightful the staff was – just like family. All this plus many more stories have made our evening and memories there a happy one. Words cannot express just how thankful I am to you and McHale’s. From day one you have been amazing. You answered all of my questions the minute I stepped into The Grand and provided lots of options and ideas for my wedding day. You went above and beyond with the tasting event. My parents and in-laws were blown away by the quality and quantity of the food you guys provided. The set-up was also very lovely. I thought living out of town would make wedding planning near impossible but you made everything much easier and fun. You answered all of my questions and put up with my endless changes. I think we had revised the contract at least five times :) Now for the day of ... when I walked into The Grand Ballroom I was absolutely blown away. McHale’s did a phenomenal job at my wedding reception. Everything from the room layout to the centerpieces, the wedding cake to the bar set-up, the favors and wedding tree ... everything was better than I could have imagined. Someone greeted me at the door with a glass of wine as soon as I walked in. And the food was so delicious and plentiful!! The presentation was gorgeous and the flower on the plate a nice surprise :) It’s crazy how everything worked out so perfectly. And if there were any issues I didn’t see or hear about them. Thank you so much for making the best day of my life so beautiful. Everything was absolutely perfect. I can’t imagine anything better. I was surprised at the number of wedding vendors that never returned my phone calls, but the McHale’s staff was quick to respond and eager to help me find what I was looking for. They responded to all of my questions quickly, which I appreciated a lot. And I loved the fact that Megan would correspond through email, because it is not always easy to be reached by phone during the work day. That made everything much easier on me. Phyllis was great! She greeted us as soon as we arrived and she made sure we had everything we needed all night. She even helped me into the car at the end of the night. I also appreciated the carry out she gave to us before we left, since we really didn’t get to eat all night. Everything was beautiful and the night went smoothly, I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you for helping to create such a wonderful memory!
